   "That fad went out with the eighties, but I think it's making a comeback."

2. A retort or answer, particularly a quick or clever one.

   "I wish I had thought of a quick comeback for his comment."

3. An occurrence of an athlete or sports team in a competition overcoming a substantial disadvantage in points to win or draw.
